About The Role

We are looking for an experienced and highly driven Senior Account Executive to lead Government and Enterprise sales across India. The role focuses on developing strategic relationships with Central Government Ministries, State Government departments, PSUs, System Integrators, and large enterprise customers.

You will be responsible for driving end-to-end sales cycles, building executive-level relationships, identifying digital transformation opportunities, and positioning Postgres1st as a strategic alternative to legacy database platforms.

This role requires strong enterprise sales expertise, consultative selling capabilities, and experience working within complex stakeholder environments.


Key Responsibilities

  • Drive revenue growth across Government, PSU, and Enterprise accounts
  • Manage complete sales cycles from prospecting to deal closure
  • Build and maintain relationships with CXOs, IT Heads, Architects, Procurement teams, and Government stakeholders
  • Identify opportunities for database modernization, cloud transformation, and migration from legacy proprietary databases
  • Develop strategic account plans and long-term customer engagement strategies
  • Work closely with technical, solution engineering, and leadership teams to drive customer success
  • Conduct business discovery meetings, presentations, and solution positioning discussions
  • Collaborate with System Integrators (SIs), channel partners, and ecosystem partners to create joint opportunities
  • Manage RFPs, RFIs, commercial discussions, and contract negotiations
  • Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline reporting, and CRM hygiene
  • Represent Postgres1st at industry events, government forums, and enterprise technology discussions

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 5–10 years of experience in Enterprise Software, SaaS, Cloud, Database, or Infrastructure Sales
  • Proven experience handling Government, PSU, or Enterprise accounts
  • Strong understanding of enterprise IT sales and consultative selling approaches
  • Experience managing large and complex sales opportunities
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to engage with both business and technical stakeholders
  • Strong relationship management and account planning capabilities
  • Experience working with channel partners and System Integrators
  • Self-driven, result-oriented, and comfortable working in a startup environment
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred

Preferred Skills

  • Exposure to PostgreSQL, open-source technologies, cloud platforms, or database solutions
  • Experience selling infrastructure modernization or cloud-native solutions
  • Existing relationships within Government, PSU, BFSI, Telecom, or large enterprise accounts
  • Understanding of public sector procurement processes and enterprise buying cycles
